Welcome to my pantyhose commercials page. I’m Frankie Leggs and I LOVE pantyhose. My fascination with pantyhose began at a very young age as described in my first time story below. Today, I enjoy buying and trying out lots of different brands, styles and shades, but my absolute favorite pantyhose is L’eggs Sheer Energy. As much as I enjoy wearing pantyhose, the thing I love the most about them is how great they look on women. I think there is nothing sexier than women’s legs in pantyhose, especially when the woman makes it obvious that she loves wearing them. Some women wear their pantyhose with an attitude that taunts and teases, as if to say, "I just LOVE these pantyhose - don’t you wish YOU could wear them?" One place that I have always found this sort of imagery has been in pantyhose advertising - both print and television.

I was fortunate to have lived through the golden age of pantyhose, which I consider the 70’s and 80’s. I’m sure that growing up during the early part of this period had a lot to do with fueling my love for pantyhose. During this golden age, pantyhose ads seemed to be everywhere. It was almost impossible to open up a women’s magazine during these two decades without finding at least one advertisement for pantyhose. Advertisements and coupons in the Sunday papers hawked L’eggs, No Nonsense, Hanes and other brands every week without fail. Ads featured beautiful women showing off their sexy pantyhose clad legs with descriptions of how great the hose made their legs feel and look. The ads were so plentiful, it was almost like there was a pantyhose war between the different manufacturers. Oh what a time for pantyhose lovers!

Without a doubt, my favorite media during this time was television. Like the print media, pantyhose commercials were all over TV. It was almost impossible to watch television for more than a couple of hours during the 70’s and 80’s without seeing at least one commercial form L’eggs or No Nonsense. Thirty years later, these commercials, their slogans, jingles and images, are still burned into my mind. Remember,

With all of the great pantyhose sites on the web today, and the many pantyhose commercials that have come and gone over the years, it seemed to me that it should have been pretty easy to find some of my favorite old commercials on the web. So I set out on a search. As it turns out, there are quite a few web sites that have old commercials on line, but unfortunately, very few with any pantyhose commercials. In my search for these sites, I have had some disappointments and some surprises. My greatest disappointment has been my inability to find any of my old favorites. The one exception to this is an audio wav file of a L’eggs Sheer Energy commercial I remember from 1979 (at least my one vintage find was for Sheer Energy!). Fortunately, my disappointments have been offset by finding several really good foreign pantyhose commercials. Although pantyhose advertising on TV in the US these days is practically dead, it appears to be very much alive in Europe. I have found, for example, several very sexy pantyhose commercials from the French company DIM. I have also found some good commercials from Pretty Polly (UK), Hippies, Jockey, and one particularly sexy ad from Golden Lady (Italy) featuring Kim Basinger.

As my pantyhose commercial collection has continued to grow, I thought it would be fun to create a web site to share some of my finds with others who have similar interests. This is the result. On this web site, I will make various pantyhose commercials available (as space on the server, and my upload time, permits). In some cases, the commercials will be provided by links to the original sites. In other cases the commercials will be hosted here. I will also provide information and other resources related to pantyhose commercials and advertising that I have collected.

It is my hope that this web site can become THE archive for pantyhose commercials on the web. I also hope for it to become a forum for readers’ stories, comments and reminiscences on pantyhose commercials and advertisements from both yesterday and today. I welcome readers’ comments, suggestions and especially leads or links for pantyhose ads on the web, videos, etc.
